Getting back to basics
Last Thursday marked my second meeting back at WW since my honeymoon. It felt good to go back and see familiar faces again. Last week when I weighed in I had gained about 4 pounds over the course of the wedding and honeymoon. It seems that all the happiness lead to me eating my happiness... But that's alright because I'm back on plan and working towards losing 50 pounds!
I am happy to report that this week when I stepped on the scale, I was in for a surprise. I lost 4 pounds! (Insert celebratory dance here). I was able to lose the pounds I had gained over my honeymoon period. It feels great that my hard work paid off. I'm trying to be very diligent with my tracking, having fruit with every meal and using my Activelink. 46 more pounds to go!
Here's my meal plan for the week to help keep me on track:
Monday
Black bean burgers with spinach & feta on a sandwich thin w/ corn on the cob (8 Points Plus)
Burger: 4 PP
Bun: 3 PP
Spinach: 0 PP
Feta 1 Tbsp: 1 PP
Corn: 2 PP
Tuesday
Spinach, feta, onion pasta w/ a side of pineapple (6 Points Plus)
Wednesday
Baleadas (9 Points Plus)
Tortilla: 4 PP
Beans: 3 PP
Crema Hondurena 1 Tbsp: 1 PP
Grated parmesan cheese 1 Tbsp: 1 PP
Thursday
Eat Out Night: Jimmy Johns, Turkey Tom w/ a side of grapes (8 Points Plus)
Friday
Weight Watchers Shrimp & Grits (7 Points Plus)

Post Wedding Bliss
Two weeks ago I was blessed to marry my best friend, other half and man of my dreams.
Along with the excitement, happiness and bliss that the wedding and honey moon brought on, they also brought on 4 of the 10 pounds that I had lost. Between pre-wedding treats, wedding cake, and delectable desserts aboard our cruise I knew this would happen. I don't regret anything and did occasionally try to be mindful of what I was eating and we took the stairs whenever possible. But now it's back to Weight Watchers.
Thursday I returned to my first meeting since before the wedding. It's been about 3 weeks since I've gone and I have to admit that I missed going. I missed the thrill of stepping on the scale and the excitement when I did go down or the words of encouragement and advice when I didn't see any weight loss.
Today I began tracking my points again, it's amazing how much higher in points some things are. This morning for breakfast I made biscuits, eggs and bacons and served it with a side of cherries, strawberries and grapes. Now the fruit no problems, everything else totaled to a whopping 12 points plus! It might take me a day or two to get back into the swing of things but my new goal is to lose 50 pounds by next April. I know with Weight Watchers I totally can! Wish me luck!
